Brazilian Carnival!

So if you're like me and attended a Brazilian Carnival party recently (and didn't speak because everyone else was speaking another language) and soaked up the amazing costumes and rich culture, then you know what blown away was! So I set out to get my own outfit for Carnival. :) And here's what I got! The detail and amazing, and the glitter to the costume adds a great touch.

I got my costume from Brazilian Carnival Costumes - how simple is that name?!

First Entry!!!!!

Hey everyone! I am glad to be part of this blog and I think that I can bring a lot of fashion update to the readers here. First off I want to Thank Blissie for allowing me to contribute to this blog. Secondly I want to Thank one of my good friends, Mikki Freschi, for helping me get started here. Now on to my first fashion post!

This is a little ensemble that I put together myself. It is a cute little DJ outfit and I love it! The shirt came from a store in the LE. LOOK Sim and the shirt is called -WMD-Surgoi "GOd is a deejay" Tank Shirt. When i saw the shirt I immediately fell in love with it cause I am a DJ myself. The pants were given to me by a really old and good friend. The jeans are called CALCA KC C/CUECA. You might know where they are. If so just let me know please. The shoes came from a little shop called HOC Industries-House of Curios. I went to the sim that the store is located in and the owner and creator is very nice. Naturally I got the shoes off of xstreet for 30L. They are 30L in the store as well. The hair is from Armidi. I love their hair and I love the "The Emo One-Tipped Mode" but I am wearing the tipped blondes in this photo. The sunglasses are another gift that a very old and good friend gave me. You can find them at FNKY! and they are the oculos FNKY! sunglasses. The necklace that I am wearing is not really for sale cause a very dear friend gave it to me when his club opened. Anyway, I guess that is all I have for now! Take care and have fun shopping! Muahhhhh!!!! ~Justine~

Mirrors*+

So I was on a HUNT!

:) I wanted to find new stores..places I've never been before and shop my little heart out. And then..I found Mirrors*+. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Takaraduka/206/188/34

I'm in love.

So I visited the main store and took some great snapshots - I love stores with activities. LOL

Anyway, this is my new UES (Upper East Side for you non-Manhattanites) outfit. It's chic and preppy and just all around cute! It's actually something I might wear in RL. I love the vest, and the detail is so hot (for lack of better fashionista terms?). If I ever took my cupcake necklace off, I'd throw a pair of pearls on (like I'm taking the necklace off..seriously?) to complete the look. Can you say..Blair Waldorf? :) I love, love, love LOVE it.

Worn
Outfit: Mirrors*+ Garoo Pink JC
Shoes: Maitreya Slinky Stilettos - Fuschia
Hair: ETD: Honey - Black
Bag: ETD: City Handbag - Black

I purchased it at another location for Mirrors*+..but of course, it was best showed off in the main store. :)

I even look hot while FALLING!

And of course, I shared it with my sweet Bev (whom I had to pry off of Bare Rose)..LOL

Then I went home..and admired my new wardrobe, stocked with lots of new purchases from Mirrors*+.

I also managed to pick up a few more outfits, a really relaxed summer outfit, which, if you check my picks you can totally pick out as being a Mirrors*+ outfit. I really did love everything I bought - and I think even if you don't buy a lot..you'll enjoy checking out the great design of the main store.

Happy Shopping!

Bare Rose

My good friend Caresse turned me on to this place. And all I can say is OMG! They carry a HUGE variety and their prices are INSANE. Almost every item comes with the whole outfit pictured. The textures are really wonderful and lots of the clothes have prim parts, which makes them more realistic and more fun in my opinion. The drawback is there is soooooooooo much to peruse, you may get overloaded. They have an equally great selection for men too! Here are a few of the outfits I picked up today.

I am taking the lead from Blissie and will be including shoes and hair in my descriptions with Slurls listed at the bottom. Just keep in mind, any prices I quote are for the clothes and don’t include the shoes or hair. And like Blissie, if you want more info, just im me in world!

While I was shopping at Bare Rose, I received this freebie for just being there from a giveaway orb:

Outfit:
::: B@R ::: Tank and Short Pants
Shoes (not part of the freebie):
*DL* Kasai Chuckers - boxed - v1.5
Hair (not part of the freebie):
* 0 Style * TwoTail *Brown

I fell in love with this little ensemble. It comes in SIX colors, the scarf and necklace are included along with a darling hat! And it only cost 170$L. Is that INSANE or what????

Outfit:
::: B@R :::: Tietop Boro Bolero
Shoes:
Maitreya Dune - Blue
Hair:
* Zero Style *Dana*Yummy (Strawberry Chocolate)

This outfit includes the sweater in THREE colors, the sexy shorts and socks! Prim parts include the collar, sleeves and a belt. And the cost??? 135$L

Outfit:
::: B@R ::: Maia
Shoes:
Storm Schmooz pret-a-sortir
Hair:
* Zero Style *Dana*Yummy (Strawberry Chocolate)

Bare Rose also has tons of outfits that will work for those themed contests. Here is a poodle skirt outfit that I just love. I truly have not seen a cuter one than this. It includes SIX colors, prim scarf (adorable!), skirt and socks. The cost on this one is only 125$L……………….*passes out*

Outfit:
::: B@R ::: 50's Poodle
Shoes:
(Shiny Things) Signature Slingbacks - black
Hair:
* Zero Style *Dana*Yummy (Strawberry Chocolate)

So get your avatar asses down to Bare Rose and have some fun!!!!

Indyra Originals!

Sometimes, classics are the best! I love Indyra Originals, and if I started to blog every outfit I owned from Indyra, I'd crash the entire internet with the pics and the descriptions. :)

Everytime I pay a visit to Starbrooks, I end up shopping at Indyra. The three newest outfits I grabbed are perfect to me - they're chic, but relaxed. Let's face it, I'm not a formal kinda gal.

Sassy pantsuits, sexy lingerie and beautiful flirty dresses are my favorite purchases from Indyra. You can be rough and tough, yet super sexy.

As always, I suggest you check out the main store for whatever Indyra outfits suit your personal style - there's a large selection of styles and outfits (including shoes) to choose from. :)

Busy and Fashion

I'm not a fashion guru however I do have my own style, which to fashion gurus would be considered somewhat 'plain' but that's okay. Most days you will find Busy in jeans and tops with boots. There are occasions when Busy loves to dress to the max and that would be in a formal gown - but a gown that dances well. This means that when you dance, your legs do not come through the gown - those are difficult to find. My wardrobe is extensive with many beautiful clothing items found in second life. I have it neatly organized by designers and so many gorgeous outfits are one click of the mouse away. Oddly, the jeans and tops have a separate folder and the mouse is on auto pilot to that file.

If you are reading this blog, please know it's my first blog ever. I do thank you for your interest and as I probably know you in second life, I will always tell you the same thing when we part: "hugs".

The Laughing Academy

While perusing xstreetsl.com the other day i came across this gown and i just had to go see it in-world for myself. I found it at "The Laughing Academy" - Fine Victorian Fantasy Attire and More - to quote from their notecard. It is obvious that Tabitha Ninetails, the designer loves what she does! The name of this gown is "*la* Erielle gown, fairytale princess version". I am amazed at the detail in her fabrics. The quality is exquiste and this gown was only $350L! Please do check out her store, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Crash Couture!

It was hard choosing what designer I would blog first. I love so many, and I'm always happy to share store advice, suggestions, etc. :) So let me start out with one of my little known favorite stores - Crash Couture.

So many, many, many months ago I met a girl in the Gossip Girl sim and we hit it off - all over boots, I believe.

And in true SL style, she moved on to design her own clothing line. T-shirts mostly, with really awesome tag lines and great colors and styles. Now her line has grown from just t-shirts to include booty shorts, socks, halters and more. More importantly, a freebie pair of eyes she sent my way once (group gift maybe..?) are now a part of my new look (which is ever evolving, so..).

And just so you know, the first t-shirt I ever owned from her was the GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE t-shirt. :)

So, here are some quick pics of a few things I own from Crash Couture, by BrookeMaree Gossipgirl.

These are just some - but I own tons. So I encourage you to check it out when you get a chance.

Licks on a Tuesday

Acccck! My first blog! Where do I start? Thanks to Blissie for the opportunity!

Hi my name is Mikki Freschi and I'm a confessed SL addict. hehe

I own a store called Licks by Mikki in SL, created from admiration of my wonderful friends and their unique styles, and classic tastes. LOL! I love it! I give away more than I sell, and I am quite pleased about that. It's not about making a Linden ever, it's that feeling I get when I walk in a room and see my friends who I admire so much wearing something I created.

okay yes all the posters are of me, but I stood still when I need me to and I never complained about getting stuck with that same smile day after day....lol. So Here's the deal I have included a copy of my tag in each purchase, throw it on a board and take a pic of yourself in your favourite licks outfit and you will become the new model on the poster. Name the poster your name in whatever the outfit is called, ie Mikki freschi in Licks Girly Purple...

Woooohooooooo! Two new posters in the store. Thanks to Blissie in Licks Girly Green and Parky in Licks Mustard! So today we have 7 new outfits! Definitely my faves so far! Thanks again for all your love and support!

Pictured are Licks Lola Blue, Licks Philly Plum and Licks Vintage Nude
Lola is a heavier beaded dress, simple cut, available in silver and blue. Licks Philly is my favourite dress to date, made entirely of lace, with additional layers included to cover your bits, model after a dress I wanted so badly and finally found for 2000L...yah right 2000L buys alot of pairs of shoes..hehe! Philly is available in plum and wine. Okay and lastly Licks Vintage, available in white, sage or nude, is a flirty little layered number designed from a piece of vintage lace from the 1920's.

Welcome!

So, it's no secret that my favorite past time is shopping in Second Life.

:) I'm lucky enough to have been able to host an amazing fashion showcase at the Bee Hive Dance Club - and through the showcase I've made a ton of great designer friends and been exposed to so much amazing designs in SL, it's not even funny.

So this blog will be a bunch of Black Sheep Fashionistas who fit in - but don't - blogging about their new finds, old loves and maybe even worst fashion choices ever.

There are no real rules here, so stay tuned and I hope you enjoy the blog and find some great buys too!

In honor of my first post, I want to share with you one of my favorite SL accessories. A cupcake necklace (thank you, Jenda!) that I think just goes with everything. I like to consider it my signature piece.

XOXO,
Blissie Boucher
