Grixdale..The Unexpected Find..

Super Bargain Saturday?  I've seen the signs..and mostly ignored them.  But in strolling through Grixdale, I came across their Super Bargain Saturday item, a layered necklace top.  Great with a tank.  Sexy with tiny shorts.  It's your call, kids. I love the design..and it's a shirt..so you don't have to screw around with prims and annoy yourself to death (it's all about the easy wear....).  The colors are beautiful too - unique jewel tones - very appealing.

Top:  Deco Layered Necklace Top-Frost
Bottom:  Grixdale. Lazy Sunday Jeans - Teal Light
Bangles:  je suis:  asymetrique bangles:  all colors
Skin:  [ATOMIC] Skin Audri_Caramel - Abyss

Very cute store - lots of casual and laid back pieces.  Check it out - something for everyone.

Happy shopping!

Just Take One Peqe...

I'm in a rut.  I admit it.  I feel like everything looks so similar now.

Well.  I felt like that.  Until I came upon Peqe.

Bows..and lace..and animal prints.  It's like..heaven for me.  I'm 100% completely in love with the boots..and the style of the outfit.  Completely.  It's my style, but a little different.  I almost feel like Leighton Meester in Gossip Girl in this outfit.  Super cute and badass!

Dress:  Peqe - Lacy Bow Dress in Silver
Shoes:  Peqe - High Keira_Tartan Black
Skin:  [ATOMIC] Grace - Caramel
Hair:  Elikatira - Just (Black)

I think these will be my new "goes with everything" pair of shoes.  LOL

:)  Check out the store - you WILL love what you find.

Plus, the sim is named Tropical BLISS - it's gotta be a great sign.  ;-)

Not Weeping at Willow..

So sometimes, a blog post is just handed to you on a silver platter.  I was loafing around, trying to find a new dramatic skin (yes, sometimes I *do* shop with a goal).

In any event, when I went to accept my purchase, I accidentally accepted a TP from my good friend, and fellow Black Sheep blogger, Ayn Tomsen.

Apparently there's a hunt going on somewhere..with a bee..or something.  Whatever.  I don't do hunts..I don't have the patience.  Just show me the "BUY" box and we're all good.

So anyway..I'm standing in this store, Willow, and Ayn logs off, leaving me to hunt for the hunt thing on my own.  Of course, I never found it.  But I did find quite a few outfits that I'm crazy about.  So, I'm thankful to Ayn for the great TP, and I'm thankful that I have such poor hunt skills that I stopped hunting and started shopping!

There's such a relaxed feeling to the store, and I love the fact that the clothes aren't too modern chic..but just casual and, had this been RL, your comfy clothes.

And now..for your viewing pleasure..dun dun dun..PICS!

Dress:  Willow~ One Shoulder Dress - Fire Red

Sweater:  Willow~Ricci Cardi - Flamingo
Jeans:  Phoenix Rising:  Boyfriend Jeans

Dress:  Willow~ Polka Dot Dress - B&W

Dress:  Willow~ Chevron Dress/Skirt

So, if you like hunts..check it out.  If you're like me, and you just like shopping for great clothes..then check it out.  Either way..you can't lose at Willow.

Let's Get Ready to....WIN!

A very old haunt of mine is WIN - Warrior Instinct Nations - a boxing/sports sim.  Well, what does boxing have to do with fashion?  Usually, not a whole lot.  BUT!  At WIN, they will customize your boxing outfits for you.  I mean..if you don't look the part, then you won't get very far.  You'll never have groupies and your boxing career will end before it ever starts.

I've got NFL, MLB and NBA gear.....so why not my own customized boxing gear?  For this adventure, I called on the most awesome WIN persona ever - Abel Undercity.  He does the custom outfits for WIN (among other things).  Robes, trunks..if you can dream it, he can do it.

They do sell generic tops and trunks as well, but I love the idea of having a customized outfit for anything you do on a regular basis.  I won't even lie, I tried boxing at WIN, but it's hard.  So I gave up and decided to just be pretty and cheer people on.  But, if taking on an SL sport is something you're interested in, you should absolutely check WIN out.  They're really friendly..with great trainers and lots of events to check out.

And now...on to the pictures!

Top:  WIN White Sports Bra Black Trim
Bottom:  WIN White Lowrider Trunks with Black Trim
Boots:  WIN Women's Boxing Boots - Black with White Trim
Skin:  [ATOMIC] Skin Audri - Caramel - Abyss
Hair:  Elikatira:  Later - Midnight Black
Tattoo:  Etched Body Art - Pink Butterfly Tummy Fresh Tattoo
Props:  WIN Aver Instinct Brass Knuckles - Black
Poses:  Olive Juice

As a small aside, just so you know, WIN also sells clothing that not necessarily for boxing or sports - just daily wear.  While I'm not crazy about sporting anyone's logo, you almost don't really notice it.  The design by Nasha Mistwallow is cute, great for your yoga workout or just hanging around.  :)

Top:  WIN MMA Fusion Tanktop - Pink
Jeans:  Phoenix Rising- Boyfriend Jeans (Blue Wash)
Shoes:  (Shiny Things) Francoise Flats - Multiswirl
Skin:  [ATOMIC] Skin Audri - Caramel - Abyss
Hair:  Elikatira - Mood
Props:  Cheeky Pea

Of course, after all of that hard boxing work..I went home and passed OUT.

And for the record, our AMAZING blog logo is courtest of Mr. Undercity as well.  His skills are not just for clothing design.  :)

:)  Happy shopping, kids.

Lapointe and Bastchild

Sometimes, I clean out my inventory and find things I've bought - but for one reason or another, never worn!  Such is the case with my Lapointe & Bastchild goodies.  So, since I didn't know how old or new they were (my inventory is a nightmare - I admit it), I headed back to the store to scope out some more outfits.

Dress:  Lapointe "Bast Rouge" Mini Skirt Set FD
Boots:  Indyra & Co. - Coquette Noir Shoes: Discipline Ankle Boots: Blacktop Black
Skin:  [ATOMIC] Skin Grace_Caramel - Cherry Blossom
Hair:  ETD Sofia - Black

Dress:  LaPointe & Bastchilde Jardin Dress
Hair:  ETD Tyra - Black
Skin:  [ATOMIC] Skin Grace_Caramel - Red Silk 1

Outfit (Including Boots):  .:L&B:. Clothing   "Nightlife" Black PVC set
Hair:  fri.day - Deena
Skin:  [ATOMIC] Skin Audri_Caramel - Abyss 2

I was scoping out the Queen of Hearts dress in their mainstore, but decided to blog something more contrasting to the Bast Rouge dress.  There's a great casual side to Lapointe and Bastchild, in addition to their beautiful formal clothes.  And the boots (as seen above)..they're super cute.  So.  Check it out kids, you WILL love it.

Black Sheep FAQ - Blissie Boucher

I've had some inquiries about a few things in my blogs, so I figured I'd answer them all in one nifty little post!

1.  Who takes your pictures?  I do.  I take them (which is why some of them are super crappy), usually crop and post.  There's no photoshopping (I don't know how) or super editing of any kind.

2.  Where are your pictures taken?  Truthfully, I don't use any one single sim.  Sometimes, when I find an outfit, I need to search for a location to fit the "theme".  I love places like World's End Garden (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Heaven%20Lake/68/128/2), and Japan Tempura Island (http://slurl.com/secondlife/tempura%20island/121/44/33).  Sometimes, I fall into beautifully designed sims and just stay there to take my pics.  But at the end of the day, I take my pics in any place that seems pretty enough for me (even in the designers store!).

3.  Where are your poses from?  This, by far, is my favorite question.  I am extremely loyal to a handful of pose makers.  I love Glitterati (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Glitterati/102/157/21), LAP (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Festivale/84/101/26) and Olive Juice (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hide%20and%20Seek/53/200/28).  I also use a lot of old Striking Poses poses..but I can't find a live SURL for them.  If you have one, drop an LM on me, please!  Best poses and I 100% stand behind their poses AND their props.

4.  Props?  Just like locations..it's whatever fits with the outfit, and whatever is handy.  Furniture is usually Witchy Woman Designs and Cheeky Pea (http://slurl.com/secondlife/The%20Pea/145/181/22).  Most of what I use are props from Glitterati and sometimes Mudhoney (http://slurl.com/secondlife/MudHoney/108/138/27).

I own a ton of stuff - my inventory is overflowing.  So I can't name every single item in this post, but I hope this helps a little.  And I'm always available to answer any questions you may have.  I'll try to be better about listing the pose I'm using - that's something I always forget to do.

Happy shopping!
