The hardest part of being so old in SL is watching some of your favorite stores clothes down.  Very few stores withstand the test of time and stay solid in SL, but when you get wind of relaunchings and re-openings..it's just so exciting.

I love stores with funky names.  And when you find a store named "?why", well....you have to check it out.  It's a curiosity killed the cat kinda thing.

Go Purple Today!

Today is Global Epilepsy Awareness Day! In honor of this day, the color purple is being used for a variety of things. One event for Epilepsy Awareness Day is "The Great Purple Cupcake Project". Bakeries around the country (here in NYC, I've seen it at Magnolia Bakery - http://www.magnoliabakery.com/) have put out special cupcakes decorated in purple frosting..with purple glitter..purple flowers..and proceeds are donated to the Anita Kaufmann Foundation (http://www.akfus.org/).

If your local bakery hasn't participated, you can still show your support by wearing purple and, if you can, donating to the epilepsy charity of your choice. One I've used is The Epilepsy Foundation (http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org/). And if you have the time, why not whip up some cupcakes decorated with purple frosting..or heck, even some purple cupcakes - and share them with your friends and family?

So Many Styles...{SMS}

Interesting store name on the Euphoria shopping sim..and absolutely too cute to pass up.  I love finding stores on massive shopping sims that entice me into going to the mainstore.  You just have a completely satisfied feeling, don't you think? 

So, I pop into the mainstore for "So Many Styles" (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Planete%20Terre/138/45/38), and since this is my first shopping trip in SL in AGES, I'm really pleased that I wasn't let down. 

So..maybe I blew tier money for next month..but that's okay.  :)  Totally worth it.
